Hurricane Season
Believe it or not, hurricane season is ending in just 12 days! We could be looking at our last or last two hurricanes before it ends! We will have a blog covering the summary of 2020 Hurricane season after it ends.
Hurricane Iota, the latest hurricane, was a catastrophic CAT 5 with 165 MPH winds and terrible storm surge. It made land fall in Mexico about two days ago as a CAT 4.
DFW Weather
DFW is still going to be seeing those warm temperatures throughout this week (mid 70’s) but could see a cool down this weekend. As I said, first freeze could be around the first week of December.
Thanksgiving Weather
Sunny, Mid 70’s, Low 40’s for most in DFW
Happy Thanksgiving!
WC Latest News
WC’s new video is on Snow Weather 101! Weather Center Snow Weather 101 gives you all the information you need for traveling in snow, preparing for winter, etc! Share this video with your friends so they too can learn types of snow, snow fun facts, how snow forms, etc! WC challenges you to share this video with at least one friend with the hashtag #weathercenter.
Weather Center has a new page, LIVE STORM UPDATES, where WC makes live updates under its discussion tab in its YouTube channel during hurricanes or severe weather. Follow live when you need info the most at Weather Center! We wish to get you the most important data live to you in simple form, that’s why we are switching live coverage DURING severe weather to this option. Blogs will still be issued before and after severe storms in the DFW area 🙂
So … Why Follow Weather Center?
Weather Center is unique from any other weather websites for these 5 reasons.
- It’s a WEATHER website structured on frequent blog updates
- It has tons of high quality NOAA and SPC (3rd party) data displayed all in only a couple large data pages. (some WC data too)
- It is a very colorful and interactive Weather Website, unique to the confusing data centers of the well know weather sites.
- It is very user centered, whereas other weather sites may not allow user interactions related to weather.
- Finally, it offers REAL weather info and data while still running off of a fairly small audience and public recognition. 🙂
Share your thoughts and ideas on what we should do next!
