Perseids Meteor Shower
The Perseids are one of the brighter meteor showers of the year. They occur every year between July 17 and August 24 and tend to peak around August 9-13. This year it peaks on the night of August 12-13th! You can in very dark areas expect up to 100 meteors an hour!

- Make sure you get your eyes adjusted to the darkness 15-20 minutes before the meteor shower!
- Make sure you dress for the weather that night since you’ll be outside.
- Get away from lights to see the most shooting stars!
