Welcome back to another WC update blog. In this blog WC will just inform you on a few of the latest things going on with WC and hurricane activity — plus a few opportunities that you can be a part of!
Tropical Storm Nicholas
Nicholas is not expected to be a very powerful storm. In fact, forecasts show it won’t even become a hurricane. But even so, this storm will bring lots of rain for the surrounding areas and plenty of tropical storm force winds at landfall (expected to be around the Corpus Christi area at around 7 am Tuesday morning).
WC Web Notifications
Subscribe for free to get instant notifications on your PC whenever there is a new blog, weather alert, or any other sort of update. It’s literally only 2 clicks to subscribe and you don’t have to have email, the website open, or even your computer on to still receive the notification!

WC Photo Contest
As you may have seen or even been apart of, WC has held two photo contests now on its website (which you can see HERE). These contests were well loved by many people, so WC plans on doing two per year instead of just one! This means one during severe weather season and then one during the fall/winter time.
Plus, you can always enter photos year round on WC as long as you have an account (or you can email them to WC)! Your photo may even appear on a WC blog if it is featured! Here’s how to submit photos:
- Make a WC account if you haven’t already.
- Then go to the page called “groups” which you can find on the top bar
- Find the “Weather Photo’s” group
- Then you can submit your weather photo!
Want to Create Your Own WC Group?
Contact WC through it’s email (joshua@weathercentertx.com) and say you are interested in starting your own WC Group! This means you can have control over your own group, choose the desired weather topic of your choice, and invite the members you wish to have in your group!
