Here we are with our first chance of severe weather in DFW for 2022! Starting now, DFW could be starting to see more storm activity… and some overall better chances for severe weather. Let’s dive into this specific storm on Wednesday and leave the model data on what 2022 severe weather season could be like to another blog.
There is a chance of some severe weather for tomorrow for DFW due to a dryline coldfront system moving in with some instability. This will most likely result in a squall line storm along the front with damaging winds and some possible spin ups along the line. The main threat remains to be damaging winds so be sure to prepare for this. Not all places will see severe weather but most everyone will see storms.
Storms could begin as early as 3-4pm Wednesday but the main threat will not come until late night/midnight hours.
