On the night of May 15 into the early morning hours of May 16, DFW should have a clear view of a TOTAL lunar eclipse! You won’t want to miss this eclipse! Here’s how to view it:
When:
Moon rise will be at about 8:45 PM on May 15. The peak of the event will be at about 11 PM. Make sure to capture some of the process on film if you can! (It is a long process)
How:
Go outside with either some good binoculars or a telescope if you have one! If you don’t have either, it’s ok, the process will still be very visible to the naked eye! Be sure to prepare to be outside for more than a 15 minute period, so dress appropriately.
Have fun and enjoy the process!
