Daylight Savings Sunday!

That’s right! Tomorrow is the official start of daylight savings! Make sure to set your clocks forward one hour tonight so that when you wake up tomorrow you do not oversleep into your morning activities! One of the notable things about daylight savings is that sunrise and sunset will be later. Sunset will now occur around 7:30 pm which many people find as a great thing since it gives more daylight later into the evening for people. Spring here we come!

Cool Down Next Week!

There is a major cool down for DFW this next week! Today is the last 80’s-degree day for at least 2 weeks! Temperatures will hold around the mid 60’s and mid 50’s while later in the week temperatures could drop to low 40’s and even 30’s! We are watching out for next Saturday the 18th for another possible freeze for DFW. Currently low temperatures are just holding above freezing. WC will keep you updated on that later next week.

Storms Today?

There is a small risk of severe weather today for DFW. Large hail is the primary threat for these storms. Most of the activity remains up in Oklahoma, north of DFW, where storms will fire up around 5-6 PM. While we are under a marginal risk, WC did not release a model for today because of how the CAPE is seeming to hold strong over DFW. The risk of storm development is very low, but if a storm does develop, WC will keep you updated.
