Severe weather is possible in DFW today. DFW is under a Slight level 2 risk today due to a severe storms potential from a storm system up in the Northwest once again. The main threat IF the storms reach DFW will be large hail. There is a very low chance of tornadoes for DFW. This is unlikely to change as the day goes on. DFW coverage will be very low and pretty spotty, so not everyone will see severe weather or even storms for that matter. At the moment its only about 10%. Main arrival time around 6 PM – Midnight.
DFW is monitoring a chance for some strong/severe afternoon storm potential before the main threat in the evening. Stay tuned for updates and stay weather aware as things develop throughout the day. Stay tuned for a possible Severe Thunderstorm Watch as well in the next 2-3 hours.
2️⃣Slight Risk
Large hail up to 1.5 Inches possible
Scattered damaging winds up to 65 MPH possible
