Severe weather is likely today in DFW. It has been several days in a row of severe weather in DFW! Now DFW is faced with yet another severe weather setup with some better chances of seeing severe weather than these previous days. DFW is under an Enhanced level 3 risk due to a severe storm potential. Very large hail up to 3 inches and damaging winds are the main threat. Most of these severe storms will develop Southwest and West of DFW and become severe very quickly. Storm could move into the metroplex between 3-6 PM. DFW coverage is higher than previous days, about 20% at the moment. Things could change though, so stay tuned for updates and stay weather aware.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 AM
There was a severe thunderstorm that passed through the Dallas County area around 6-7 AM. Storms produced quarter-sized hail and some gusty winds in that area.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued at 7:45 AM for parts of DFW and remains in effect until 10:00 AM today. Most of DFW will most likely not see severe storms, but parts of the northeastern metroplex are still in danger. Stay weather aware
