Extreme heat continues in DFW! Last year in 2022, DFW had 42 days of triple digit temperature days. This year, DFW has had about 32 days! The average is only about 20 days per season! Indeed, Texas is being hit hard right now, but relief if coming! After mid-August, temperatures are expected to drop and remain in the high 90’s. By September, temperatures are expected to lower again to the mid 80’s as Fall draws closer.
Storms are possible this evening for parts of DFW. Currently, the risk of storms is fairly low since storms are expected to mostly dissipate before they arrive to DFW from the Northwest. If they hold together, the storms could contain some gusty winds and small hail. Stay weather aware this evening!
