Widespread storms are expected for DFW this Wednesday evening into Thursday morning. Heavy rain is expected for much of North Texas. Some areas just East/Northeast of DFW could expect up to 4-5 inches of rainfall!
Storms won’t start until later in the afternoon around 5-6 PM and will become more numerous by late evening hours around 8-10 PM for DFW. Large hail and damaging winds will be possible in some severe storms this evening so stay weather aware and stay tuned for any severe weather watches that may be released today.
The flash flooding risk is fairly significant today due to the large amount of rain that is expected that will be falling onto very dry soil which will absorb water at a slower rate than usual. In addition, a flood watch has been issued for parts or Northeastern DFW until early Thursday morning. Stay weather aware
