Fall so far for DFW has been above average in temperature, with some areas being 15-20 degrees above average in temperature! As you can see in the image above, Fall for Texas is expected to be well above average til at least November when we can finally see a cool down that should stay.
North Texas has also been without rainfall for nearly a month. Rain is possible in the coming weeks, which will be a great relief for many.
Farmer’s Almanac
The Farmer’s Almanac forecast is also listed below, giving details on November. Storms will visit Texas around the first few days of November providing relief from drought, then some colder temperatures will blow in the end of that week. Increased precipitation will continue through much of the next week with a significant temperature drop around mid-November leading to near-freezing conditions. November will end with more thunderstorms.

As of now, Winter looks mild and dry for North Texas. Above-average temperatures are expected for the majority of the Winter with less snow than usual. Things are still subject to change in the coming weeks as the forecast is refined.
